WBL is offering teens the opportunity to participate in our Financial Future series. The Series began back in August and there have been four workshops where Cornelius Smith facilitates. Cornelius is the owner of the non-profit organization Nauglobal where he teaches underprivileged children and teens how to become excited about the prospect of becoming business owners; he tries to instill a good knowledge of credit and business to teenagers.
West Boulevard has pulled in alot of teens to this series and we have passed our goal of participation for this program! The teens have enjoyed this program and are learning a lot about credit and becoming entrepreneurs!

WBL knows how to finish off Summer Reading with a BANG! Every year we have put on a party for our summer reading participants! There’s always food, fun, and entertainment. This year was slightly different and equally entertaining!
Of course, we invited our good friend Ray from Parks and Rec to join us in wrapping up our summer reading program!
Not only did Ray visit us, we had the DJ stylings of DJ Infinite spinning records and keeping the kids active!
We also played a pop culture trivia game, just for fun and the kids went crazy over the subjects!
We also had a performance by Oasis Performing Arts School do 2 skits to entertain us!
We topped all of this fun off with some snacks!
We enjoyed the planning the Blowout and we hope that you all enjoyed it! Oh my….we have to hurry and get to planning next summer’s blowout!

Be Creative was the theme for this year’s summer reading program and we had plenty of fun being just that– CREATIVE! The children and teens that were involved were encouraged to use any and every avenue of creativity in our programs!
Here at WBL, we had a wonderful Teen Volunteer and two Summer Mayor Interns to help us present the best possible programs!
Below are some pictures from our programs:
